Ensign Kicks Off Statewide Tour To Talk Nevada Issues

Las Vegas, NV - Senator John Ensign will kick-off a statewide Nevada tour tomorrow that begins in Mesquite and ends in Carson on Saturday after stops in Caliente, Pioche, Ely, West Wendover, Wells, Elko, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Yerington, and Fallon.

“Knowing Nevadans and the issues important to them is essential to being Nevada’s United States Senator,” said Ensign, who grew up in northern Nevada and now lives in southern Nevada with his family.  “And I want to build on our accomplishments so we can keep Nevada strong.”

Early voting began on October 21st and throughout this tour Senator Ensign will encourage Nevadans to vote and talk to their friends and families about voting.  Included below is a tentative schedule for Senator Ensign’s statewide Nevada tour from October 25 - 28.  (All times are Pacific Standard Time.)

Wednesday:

8:50 a.m. — Ensign speaks to students of Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite (820 Valley View Dr.)

10:00 a.m. — Ensign attends Meet-and-Greet at Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite (1299 Bertha Howe Ave.)

2:45 p.m. — Ensign speaks at reception at Caliente Senior Center (240 Main St.)

3:45 p.m. — Ensign attends Meet-and-Greet in Pioche (Pioche Town Hall on Main St.)

6:30 p.m. — Ensign speaks at Pizza n’ Pop Night with the Candidates in Ely (Postal Palace)

Thursday:

11:00 a.m. — Ensign attends Meet-and-Greet at the West Wendover Library

1:30 p.m. — Ensign speaks to Wells Senior Center

5:30 p.m. — Ensign speaks at Pizza n’ Pop Night with the Candidates at the Elko Senior Center (1795 Rubyview Dr.)

Friday:

9:00 a.m. — Ensign attends Meet-and-Greet at Sid’s Restaurant in Winnemucca (1195 W. Winnemucca Blvd.)

11:00 a.m. — Ensign attends Meet-and-Greet at Sturgeon’s Restaurant (Amber Room) in Lovelock (1420 Cornell Ave.)

4:00 p.m. — Ensign speaks at reception in Yerington at the County Commission Chambers (27 S. Main St.)

6:00 p.m. — Ensign attends First Annual Nevada Day Silver and Blue Reception at the Oats Park Art’s Center in Fallon with the Lahontan Republican Women’s Group

Saturday:

10:00 a.m. — Ensign walks in Nevada Day Parade in Carson City
